I'm glad to see you're enjoying the Amelia Peabody series. I have all of her books and her Barbara Michaels ones, too. Also, two of her non-fiction books about Egypt are back in print. Look for them under her real (gasp!) name of Barbara Mertz. Oh yes, you should also read the Vicky Bliss mysteries. I think you'd really like them, too. Happy reading/listening!

Having used Cochenille software and Stitch and Motif maker, I find KV head and shoulders above. I don't do lace but I typically recopy and reprint charts, chart written instructions, and I have designed a sweater in it. It is expensive but I like geek stuff.<br />Pamulla on R

I've been known to use coil-less safety pins for stitch markers as well. I get a large quantity of them and use them for, well, practically everything. I never thought about the rubbery rings. And your surprise was lovely. It made my entire day. :)

I especially liked the suggestions on the various uses of markers. I have a suggestion for you: I bought a package of rubber O rings in assorted sizes. Hmmm...they would be great markers and I would be able to find a size to fit any size knitting needle! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap! I wouldn't need to fear losing any of them!

I see what you mean about the color repeats on the socks. I think they turned out really cool, though. I'd be curious to see how it knits up over a large number of stitches, say for a jacket or lap blanket.

I love your podcast, Eric! Please continue to make them! My suggestion is that you should choose a particular day out of the month to have an episode posted, (aka second tuesday of the month, or something) so that your readers know when to check the site for a download.
